NOTES OF INTEREST:
1. “Great Glacier” will be the centrepiece of the Into the Arctic Collection.
2. Final painting will be one of the largest landscape paintings ever created from the Canadian Arctic.
3. The scene depicts Coronation Glacier, 4km wide where it meets the ocean, with kilometre high mountains rising on each side. In the distance rises the Penny Ice Cap, the southern most major ice cap of the Canadian Arctic covering 6000km2 of land with a layer of ice and snow almost a kilometre thick.
