“Eight hundred kilometres shy of the north pole is the austere Ellesmere Island. Up here the enormous scale of the land, combined with the clean air and lack of trees, makes judging distance difficult, often turning an hour long hike into a half day’s journey. After such an exhausting trek, I found the most expansive and clear view that I’ve ever seen from land, over Tanquary Fiord, stretching all the way to the distant mountains.” - Cory
